Most of what you see at The Nest has been scouted from all over the Reno/Sparks area, rescued, cleaned up, repaired, and given a second life. Pieces are thoughtfully arranged into ever-changing vignettes, making it easy to imagine an unexpected chair, piece of art, or other vintage gem finding its way into your own home.

MEET TESSA
Born and raised in Reno, Tessa has spent nearly 20 years in the vintage business and has been running The Nest since 2009.
What started with a love of old things has grown into a carefully curated shop built around something bigger: keeping good things in use, supporting the local community, and creating a place that feels distinctly Reno.
Tessa is equal parts homebody and adventurer, organizer and maximalist. She loves spontaneous travel, dancing, hiking, crafting, cooking, and a really good treasure hunt. She’s also a mom to a son who has grown up around The Nest—and even has his own little shop inside the store, where he earns money for books and baseball cards.
That same mix of personality shows up throughout The Nest. Tessa can spend an unreasonable amount of time finding just the right piece, cleaning and repairing it, researching its story, and figuring out exactly where it belongs in the shop. Nothing is there simply to fill space.
Sustainability has always been part of that philosophy. Tessa has always believed that buying something old, well-made, and full of character was better than buying something new just because it was convenient.
At its heart, The Nest is an extension of how Tessa believes a local business should feel: personal, thoughtful, a little weird, and impossible to replicate at a big-box store.
