The Radish Hotel is a family-owned and operated small business, run by Carlos and Crystal León. It began with a simple desire to feed & nourish our family well (not only what we put in our bodies, but what we put on them). Our small operation began in 2019 as an urban farm in Sparks and took off greatly in the years to follow, as we watched a global shift take place amid the pandemic and supply chain disruptions. People began to think more consciously about the products they consumed and where they were coming from. It was in those years that the Radish Hotel blossomed into something that not only took care of our family, but it also began to take care of our community, via the products we were creating. Today we are still greatly driven by the desire to know where our food comes from and what is housed in the body care products we lather onto our skin. The products we create are thoughtfully crafted, and the ingredients we use (from locally grown to organically farmed), are mindfully sourced.
We are always working to improve and draw great inspiration from our roots - simply making and preserving, the way our grandparents used to.

MEET CRYSTAL
We are Carlos and Crystal León - the husband-and-wife team behind "The Radish Hotel".
Carlos was born and raised in Reno, while Crystal grew up in the Country music, agricultural hub known as Bakersfield, California. Crystal's background is in nutrition and gardening education. Carlos has a background in cooking and restaurant work. We love working with the soil, growing food, refining new products, and whipping up something special in the kitchen. When we're not playing freeze tag or crafting with our daughters, most of our time is split between these spaces. Before The Radish Hotel, Crystal worked for non-profits and in partnership with The Edible Schoolyard, managing urban gardening projects, farm stands, and advocating for food justice in low-income communities. Carlos is a jack of all trades and spent his many years leading up to The Radish Hotel in kitchens, opening cafes, teaching gardening, and doing woodworking. On a day off, you might find us hiding with a good book. The Radish Hotel is somewhat our love-child. It's the intersection where many of our passions meet, and it provides a space for us to be creative together, making good stuff for ourselves and our community.
